Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information SJB Ceramics collects through this website, why, and what your rights are.
Who I am
SJB Ceramics is a sole trader business run by Suzannah Bell in London, United Kingdom. I am the data controller for the information described here. You can contact me about anything in this notice at [email protected].
What I collect
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, when you choose to enter it.
- Emails you send me: your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies, and it doesn't use analytics that identify you.
How I use it
- To send you occasional emails about new work and the shop opening. I do this because you've given your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
- To reply to your enquiries, including commission requests. I do this because it's in our shared interest to respond to your message, or because you've asked me to take steps before entering into a contract.
I will never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else handles it
- Kit (kit.com) stores the newsletter list and sends the emails on my behalf. Kit may store data outside the UK, with the safeguards UK data protection law requires. See Kit's privacy policy.
- Google provides my email account (Gmail), where enquiries are received.
- Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
How long I keep it
I keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe. I keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with them, and for up to two years afterwards in case you get back in touch, unless they relate to a sale, in which case I keep them for six years for tax records.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how it's used, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email [email protected]. I'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. I'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
I'll update this notice when the shop opens, to cover orders, payments and delivery.
